This one is easy! What is summer without swimming! Find a pool to use and set up a regular day each week. Swim teams are great too but don’t forget how important it is for your kids to be kids and play in the pool. Let them use their imagination and make up their own games and you will find that the mental workout is as good as the physical one.
Follow the advice of one of our readers and invest in a small pool for your driveway, it works great too!
“Here is another idea for you – a $30 baby pool from Target has provided endless hours of fun for my kids who are 12, 9, & 7. The neighborhood kids are swimming in our “pool” also 🙂 This is what my kids asked for for their good grades at the end of the year! However, it is better to put it on grass than on the driveway and you really can’t move it once it is filled up – who knew a blow up pool could be so heavy!” — Kelly W.
